Among ArcaVir products, ArcaVir Linux Protection has existed for many years and has been regularly supported and developed. Thanks to ArcaVir Linux Protection you can protect both servers and PCs with different versions of installed systems, mostly Linux and FreeBSD. Until now, the package can be purchased at the direct request. Now ArcaVir Linux Protection is available in our online shop.

Advanced antivirus engine is equipped with mechanisms to ensure high level of detection of malware, uses to work a small amount of computer resources what guarantees comfortable computer work.

ArcaVir 2010 offers the latest technologies in fighting against malware and new mechanisms to ensure low use of the system resources. The program allows to protect your computer much better, taking into account the current threats. Therefore, the ArcaBit company decided to stop supporting the older versions of ArcaVir: 2007, 2008, 2009. These packages will be updated only to the end of 2010. At this time we recommend a free update to version 2010.

New RescueDrive

Save your computer with an innovative pendrive.

An innovative device created by ArcaVir programmers has been developed with new functionalities. Antivirus software creators put emphasis on adding to the packages so-called rescue CD that let you to start the system in case of a breakdown. Meanwhile, the company ArcaBit over a year successfully produce a device which enables a greater spectrum of activity. ArcaVir RescueDrive is a portable flash memory with a pre-installed software on a specially prepared partition.

ArcaVir RescueDrive helped many users to start their system in case of breakdown, scanned the resources, cured infections, and saved their important data if the crash was serious. Until now, technology was based on an independent ArcaNix operating system.

Currently, as a result of collaboration with Microsoft, it became possible to initiate a rescue system based on Windows solutions. We have created a graphical window to handle the device, so browsing the disk is convenient and simple. An absolute novelty is a device created to repair Windows system.

Users will receive the latest virus scanner with a heuristic technology and legible user interface. Moreover, the device will retain its simplest features of traditional flash memory and the installer of ArcaVir security package.

World Telecommunication and Information Society Day

This year we celebrate World Telecommunication and Information Society Day on May 17. The date was accepted by UN General Assembly in its resolution of 27 March 2006.

Organizer have prepared a wide range of debates and conferences on issues related to new technologies and the role of IT in economic and social development, according to the slogan “ITC for a better life”. Another important issue to discuss will be a matter of threats that come from the broadening access to electronic media. In Poland the organizer of celebrations of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day is Polish IT Association. Planned debates and conferences will bring together representatives of science, education and public administration.

In Poland, the biggest problem with building the information society is the universality of elementary education in the IT area. This is, according to European Union, the foundation of the so-called "digital exclusion". Therefore, the main substantive event during the Day celebrations is the conference: "Education - last chance for Poland? - place and role of education in the information society".

The contest takes place under the Polish Programme for Polish Enterprises Quality Promotion organized by Polish Research and Certification Centre in cooperation with Business Report- the special issue of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily. The fourth time a wide range of Polish enterprises have been analyzed to select those that take a special care of the quality of their products. The programme chapter took up an unanimous decision to award ArcaBit company with the QUALITY OF THE YEAR 2009 title in the “Innovation” category. The awarded product was ArcaVir RescueDrive.

Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day is the European Commission initiative organized in Poland by Nobody’s Children Foundation and Research and Academic Computer Network. This year we could follow the sixth edition of the european programme „Safer Internet”. The main purpose of SID is to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology amongst children and teenagers. Organizers want to educate not only young Internet users, but also teachers and parents. Consciousness of online threats must be stimulated.

All schools, NGOs, companies and individuals are welcome to take part in the programme. You can apply on the programme’s website any initiative that promotes the safety of young Internet users, such as competition, educational activities and happenings.
