How automatically to migrate (upgrade) from ArcaVir 2009 to ArcaVir 2010 in case of using ArcaAdministrator?

To automatically migrate (upgrade) from ArcaVir 2009 to ArcaVir 2010 in case of using ArcaAdministrator you should follow the instruction:

1. Force the ArcaVir 2009 update at all stations on the network to the latest version from the repository on a local server.

2. In the administration console, at the program setup on the server, in the „Update” section:

  • At the “Update settings” change the selection to “ Only repository”

  • At the “Server” change “Protocole” to “HTTP” and enter the website address:
    http://www.arcabit.pl/migracja2010 

3. Confirm the configuration change

4. Then update the repository

5. Wait for update of all stations with ArcaVir 2009 installed

6. on the server in the "Control Panel -> Add / Remove Programs" or "Control Panel -> Programs and Features" uninstall ArcaVir 2009

7. after uninstalling the program, reboot the system (the program will ask for it anyway)

8. after a reboot, remove the installation folder, by default it is:

C:\Program Files\ArcaBit

9. download it and then run the program:
http://www.arcabit.pl/DWT/Utils/delarca.exe
and agree to remove the remains of ArcaVir program

10. the next step is to run the installation of ArcaVir 2010 program in advanced mode.

11. Select the “Administration server”

12. after installing the program, reboot the system (the program will ask for it anyway)

13. In the administration console, at the program setup on the server, in the „Update” section:

  • At the „Update setting” change the selection to ”Application and repository”

  • At the "Server" change "Protocole" to “ArcaBit upgrades server”

14. confirm the configuration change

15. next step is to update the repository

16. Then wait for update of all stations with Arcavir 2010 installed as a result of migration

That is the end of migration. If only the migration process was carried out exactly according to the above instruction, the entire structure of groups and stations will be maintained in the database ArcaAdministrator server.
