In case of using 2010 version:
To update ArcaVir installation at local networks via repository mechanism available through HTTP protocol, you have to:
1. On any machine with Internet access and ArcaVir installed with multi-station licence create so-called repository, namely:
a) Click the left mouse button on ArcaVir icon on the taskbar
b) In the main ArcaVir window click „Settings”
c) Unfold „Update” with a cross
d) Click "Update settings"
e) Select "Applications and repository"
f) In the bottom “Repository folder” window select a folder on the disk, where such a repository is to be created. (the folder should be empty) – this folder should be located on a local disk, it can not be a mapped network resource.
g) Select the "Enable repository" and enter "Port", through which the repository will be enabled in the net (e.g. 800)
NOTICE! If you use ArcaAdministrator, 50000 and 50001 ports are occupied, and on this ports the repository enabling will not be allowed; you should also avoid using the 80 port and a port on which proxy server is running (defaultly it is port 8080).
h) In program options, in „Tasks” create an update task following the instruction:

Click the left mouse button on ArcaVir icon on the taskbar

In the main ArcaVir window click „Settings”

Unfold "Package maintence" with a cross

Click "Tasks"

Press the "Add" key

Enter the task name (it is up to the user to create a name – it should „say” what the task relates to)

Select type of a task to run "Update"

Select type of a trigger "By temporal settings"
-
Set the date and the initial time (it can be left unchanged)

Set the interval for e.g. 4 hours
-
Click "ok"

Click "ok"
2. On machines to be updated from such a repository you should set:
a) Click left mouse button on ArcaVir icon on the taskbar
b) In the main ArcaVir window click "Settings"
c) Unfold „Update” with a cross
d) Click "Server"
e) Select the "HTTP" protocol
f) In the "Address" field enter the network address of a computer, that creates and enables the repository (use the format "http://computer_name" – but without the inverted commas)
g) In the "Port" field enter the port number through which the repository is enabled (e.g. 800 as at the 1g paragraph – these ports must be equal, otherwise the update will not be fulfilled)
h) in program options, in “Tasks” create an update task following the instruction:

Press the „Add” key

Enter the task name ( it is up to the user to create a name – it should „say” what the task relates to)

In case of using 2012 or 2011 version:
1. Take any computer online with ArcaVir multi-station license installed.
a) Open ArcaVir using taskbar.
b) In the main window of ArcaVir click “settings” then “update”
c) go to “repository” bookmark.
d) use option “create repository”
e) below “repository folder” show up the place (exact folder) on your drive where would you like the repository to be
created. The folder has to be empty. It can not be a mapped view from the local network.
f) mark option “share repository” and enter port number e.g. 800

g) Go to “other settings” and create a task of updating. You can do it this way:
- left-click ArcaVir on taskbar. In the main window click “settings”, then “other settings”
- go to bookmark “task”
- use the button “add new task”
- name the task
- choose the type of the task (3 types available- pick “update”)
- choose the basis for performing the task- “weekly schedule” or “system start”
- in case if we chose “weekly schedule” we need to select days of the week and exact hours for update.
- confirm by pressing “ok” button twice
2. On the machines which are a subject for automatic update:
a) left-click on ArcaVir on taskbar
b) in the main window of ArcaVir go to “settings” then “update”
c) go to “advanced settings” bookmark.
d) choose HTTP protocole
e) in the field “address” put the network address of the machine which shares the repository
f) in the field “port” enter the port number, through which the repository is shared (e.g. 800 – port have to be the same as in 1f.)
g) go to “options” and “other settings”, then bookmark “tasks”
- name the task
- choose the type of the task (3 types available- pick “update”)
- choose the basis for performing the task- “weekly schedule” or “system start”
- in case if we chose “weekly schedule” we need to select days of the week and exact hours for update.
- confirm by pressing “ok” button twice.
