AT&T informed that two days ago cybercriminals attacked it networks and tried to steal users’ information. Attackers used automatic tools to link telephone numbers with online accounts.
Less than 1% of AT&T users were affected. AT&T has over 100 million customers meaning about 1 million persons are victim of the attacks.
AT&T is still investigating the breach to determine its source and intent.
Affected customers were informed of the incident.
