British Ministry of Defence informed that in last 18 months it has had 280 computers lost or stolen. Also 72 HDDs, 150 back-up tapes and 73 USB sticks disappeared.
During a single incident in Germany 21 laptops were lost. Another 20 computer were lost in separate incident but were restored later.
Also 28 mobile phones and smartphones as well as 194 CDs and DVDs were lost.
MoD says every incident is taken very seriously. There are also robust procedures to reduce such lost in the future.
