Silent updates in Internet Explorer

Since January Microsoft will start pushing silent updates for Internet Explorer. The browser will be automatically patched and updated to the newest version. Such tactics is used by Chrome i Firefox.
„The web overall is better – and safer – when more people run the most up-to-date browser. Our goal is to make sure that Windows customers have the most up-to-date and safest browsing experience possible, with the best protections against malicious software, such as malware“ - said Ryan Gavin, a manager in IE group.
Security experts agree that silent upgrades offer better security.
IE will be automatically upgraded for users who installed IE8 or IE9 and opted for Windows automatic patches.
